About Dr. Lee
Dr. David William Lee has been practicing chiropractic for 42 years. He graduated in 1967 from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto. His first practice after graduation was in Cochrane, Ontario, where he worked for four years. He then traveled for a year and a half in India, Thailand, Burma, Malaysia, Indonesia, Australia and New Zealand. Upon returning to Canada in 1974 he opened a practice in the beaches area of Toronto, where he had a successful practice for fifteen years.
In 1989, Dr. Lee and his family moved to British Columbia, spending the next three years between Los Angeles and Vancouver. In1993, he took over a full time practice and Downtown Chiropractic in Vancouver came into being.
In addition to running a successful practice, and in keeping with his committed passion for knowledge, he has continued his studies in chiropractic, healing, the effects of stress on the body and the mind.
Dr. Lee enrolled in the Chiropractic Rehabilitation Specialist Course, completing this course in 1998. This course involves the most modern methods used by Chiropractors and Physiotherapists to rehabilitate the spine to its maximum recovery potential with the use of exercise. During this period, Dr. Lee attended seminars internationally and in Prague, Czech Republic, he did hospital rounds with Dr. Vladimir Janda , Dr. Karel Lewit, and Dr. Craig Lebensen, three world renown researchers in the field of Biomechanics and Rehabilitation. He has also trained in manual chiropractic adjusting, activator technique, and motion palpation technique.
Dr. Lee’s spends time reading every day and enjoys hiking, music and the arts during his time off.
